He’s been entertaining audiences for over 60 years, but Bob Dylan is showing no signs of slowing down.

The 83-year-old musician kicked off the Outlaw Music Festival tour in Phoenix on Tuesday, May 13th, at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, as Far Out Magazine reported, finishing the set with a cover of “Rainy Night in Soho” by The Pogues.

In a video shared on YouTube, the iconic singer-songwriter sang the song from behind a piano, wearing what appeared to be a black jacket. Fans couldn’t get over the Grammy winner’s beautiful version of the tune.

“Lovely version of a lovely song,” gushed one person.

“Bobby, you are simply the best,” declared a second YouTube user, adding, “what a wonderful cover.”

“thank you so much for this, what a rendition i would kill to have this on a studio release,” someone else admitted, with another commenter raving, “Ah man. My 2 favourites combined.”

“Rainy Night in Soho” wasn’t the only cover Dylan played at the Phoenix concert; he also played “Axe and the Wind” by George “Wild Child” Butler, a live debut, and Charlie Rich’s “I’ll Make It All Up To You.”

Dylan, along with Willie Nelson, 92, will continue to tour with the Outlaw Music Festival through September 19th, 2025, when the tour wraps up in East Troy, Wisconsin.

The rotating cast of supporting acts will include such beloved artists as Sheryl Crow, Wilco, the Avett Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Lake Street Dive, Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers and Lucinda Williams.
