Fans have been so concerned about Bindi Irwin ever since she underwent emergency surgery on Saturday to remove her appendix. She was supposed to attend the annual Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas that night, which honors her late dad.
At the event, her brother, Robert Irwin, let everyone know that she would not be in attendance after her appendix had burst.
Just a little while ago, she shared an update on her condition from her hospital bed, and as it turns out, she wound up flying to New York to have the surgery. The video was taken just an hour after she got out of surgery.

“I just want to thank you for your well wishes. I just got out of surgery about an hour ago. I had my appendix removed… I also had 14 new endometriosis lesions that had to be removed, and they kindly stitched up my hernia as well.”
Irwin continued, “I am forever grateful to Dr. Seckin and the entire team at Lenox Hill Hospital. Thank you guys for your kind words and for your support. I’m sorry if I’m a little out of it in this video. I just want you to know that I’m on the road to recovery one step at a time.”
Poor Bindi… this was such a bigger ordeal than anyone initially expected. One thing’s for sure, she’s definitely a strong woman, just as her brother Robert mentioned at the gala.

Plenty of people shared wishes for a speedy recovery in the comment section of the video, with many noting just how incredibly strong she is.
Her former Dancing with the Stars partner, Derek Hough, said, “My beautiful Angel 😇 Love you.”
Leslie Mosier added, “A warrior in every sense. Love you friend ❤️”
Her family also left messages, with Robert saying, “Stay strong Bindi! Love you!” Her husband, Chandler Powell noted, “Strongest person I know ❤️”
We’re all hoping Irwin is on the mend soon, and everyone is relieved she’s in such good hands.
