The B-52s are such a legendary band, and they’ve shown no signs of slowing down since they got together in 1976. While they played their final official tour concert in 2023, they went on to have a Las Vegas residency into 2024.
The band also just played at the Tecate Emblema Music Festival in Mexico City on May 16th, 2025, much to the delight of the hyped-up crowd.
While they were on their way to the show, singer Kate Pierson shared a new video on TikTok letting fans know about the performance. At 77 years old, she expectedly looks much different than she did during the band’s earlier days, but everyone agrees she’s still just as stunning as ever!
One fan said, “Dear Kate. You are lovely! That is all!,” and someone else noted, “You are so beautiful. Love your music.”
People also commented on what a legend she is, along with the B-52s in general. One person said, “You are an absolute music pioneer. Your first album totally flipped the script for the entire music world. It still sounds super fresh today! Love you.”

Video of the band’s performance popped up on social media after the fact, and it looks like they totally killed it at the festival.
Nobody quite knows how to work a crowd like them.
