Travis Kelce is in great shape ahead of a new NFL season, according to his Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
During the team’s media availability on Thursday, July 24, Reid complimented Kelce, 35, on his offseason training and said the superstar tight end looks like he’s 20 years old.
“He’s svelte right now,” said Reid, 67. “He looks like he’s 20. He’s doing a great job. He’s in great shape. And I’m not sure — he didn’t come in first during the whole conditioning thing, [but] he was right up front.”
Reid continued, “You can see he’s been working out. You saw him yesterday on the long run where he had the burst. He’s done a nice job. He’s worked hard to get to this spot.”

On May 12, Kelce sported a streamlined physique at the Amazon MGM Studios Upfront and told reporters at the event that he had lost 25 pounds in the offseason, which he spent a portion of in Florida with girlfriend Taylor Swift.
Kelce and the Chiefs suffered a disappointing Super Bowl loss at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles in February before the tight end confirmed he’d return to the team for another season.

When asked on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast on July 1 if the 2025 NFL season will be his final one in the league, Kelce said, “I mean…it’s the last one on the contract. I’m focused on this one, man.”
The tight end added that he’ll need to see how he feels at the time. “I don’t know what next year’s going to feel like, I don’t know what I’m going to feel like in March or April next year,” he explained.
The same day that Reid talked up his fitness, Kelce hard launched his relationship with Swift on Instagram, posting several photos with the singer for the first time since they started dating in 2023. “Had some adventures this offseason, kept it 💯,” Kelce wrote in the caption.
The couple’s offseason adventures included a trip to Montana with pal Erin Andrews and friends, luxe dinner dates and downtime with friends. In one photo Kelce posted, his phone wallpaper can be seen, and it’s an adorable photo of himself and Swift.
