Aimee Lou Wood and Patrick Schwarzenegger enjoyed a White Lotus reunion at the Met Gala this evening, with the season 3 co-stars posing for photos together on the red carpet. Wood selected a black suit and matching train for her Met Gala debut, pairing the look with Cartier jewelry and Manolo Blahnik shoes. Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger—who has attended the party multiple times before, most recently in 2022—opted for a navy and yellow Balmain spin on a zoot suit.
Their appearance together arrives after Mike White’s hit show took over cultural conversation throughout the spring, with HBO reporting that the April 6 finale episode broke viewership records for the series. The filming experience was a transformative one for the cast, with Wood telling ELLE in an exclusive interview ahead of the season 3 premiere that “I am not the same person as I was pre-White Lotus. I had a lot of reckonings out there. I realized how important my anchors are in life.”
She also shared that portraying the carefree, confident Chelsea helped her become more comfortable in her own body. “As Chelsea, I cannot be thinking about how I look,” she told ELLE. “She does not give a shite about how she looks. She is not an insecure person about her body. She’s insecure about other things, about her intelligence and everything, but she’s not insecure about that. So I was like, I have to feel confident. If I don’t feel confident and I look like I’m being apologetic for my body, then it won’t work.”
That confidence was on full display at tonight’s Met Gala—the first of what we hope will be many such appearances for Wood, Schwarzenegger, and their co-stars.
