HGTV star Heather Rae El Moussa is commenting on the network’s mass cancellations.
During an interview with Us Weekly published on July 30, Heather said she and her husband of four years, Tarek El Moussa, don’t have insider information about the recent cancellations of several HGTV shows, such as Married to Real Estate, Izzy Does It, Farmhouse Fixer, and Bargain Block.
“Obviously, I do know they are going through big internal changes, so I’m not quite sure what’s going on there. I don’t have a statement for that, but I can say how much I’ve enjoyed being on HGTV,” said Heather during the interview.
She also suggested she would like to continue filming her HGTV series, The Flip Off and Flipping El Moussas.
“I love filming The Flip Off and Flipping El Moussas and I love flipping houses. But I don’t know internally what’s going on,” said Heather while speaking to the publication.
In addition, Heather addressed rumors that The Flipping El Moussas hasn’t been renewed for a third season.
“Anything could happen. To be honest, it was a great show and it still is a great show. I know that the fans loved it, and Tarek and I really, really enjoyed filming that show. It’s definitely a challenging market right now — and with real estate in general. But I think anything could happen,” said Heather, who has a 2-year-old son named Tristan with Tarek.
She also said she believes HGTV fans are eager for a second season of her, Tarek, and his ex-wife Christina Haack‘s competition series, The Flip Off.
“But I do know the fans would love to see it back and all three of us would love to see it back,” said Heather.
People magazine reported that Haack suggested her other HGTV series, Christina on the Coast, has been cancelled on Instagram. According to the publication, a source said the show has ended after Season 6. However, HGTV has not made an official announcement about the fate of Haack’s solo series.
Haack’s July 2025 Instagram post featured several pictures of her spending time with her boyfriend, Christopher Larocca, and her children, Taylor, 14, Brayden, 9, and Hudson, 5. Haack’s two eldest children are fathered by Tarek, whom she divorced in 2018. Meanwhile, Hudson is fathered by her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead.
“Summer so far. Basically just eating and laughing. Canceled looks good on me…. Only kidding only kidding,” read the caption of Haack’s post.
