Brenda Song has spoken—the see-through dress trend is still just as chic as ever. The actress put her spin on the trend at the Los Angeles Official Emmy FYC Red Carpet for Running Point with a maxi boho dress. The black t-shirt-style dress was made of a mesh material with silver studs in a horizontal striped pattern. And, yes, it was completely see-through, revealing Song’s simple black leotard below.
Song paired the on-trend dress with an array of chunky silver rings and a matching watch, while she wore her long hair down in loose waves in a center part.

The Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum is just the latest to hop aboard the barely there trend. Earlier this week, Madeline Brewer of The Handmaid’s Tale and You fame put her own spin on the naked dress trend with a sheer bodycon dress with unexpected cut-outs that revealed only a pair of underwear below. Meanwhile, The White Lotus’ Alexandra Daddario opted for a sheer white lace dress with white underwear at the Dior Cruise Show. Then there was Scarlett Johansson who rocked a completely sheer black skirt on Saturday Night Live last weekend. And, earlier this month, Poker Face’s Natasha Lyonne also tried out the trend with a black sheer dress with vertical stripes.

Song stars in Running Point as Ali Lee alongside another Y2K icon, Kate Hudson—she was also at the event where she debuted a nostalgic hairstyle.
“To be able to play Kate’s bestie is, I mean, it’s iconic,” Song recently told BuzzFeed. “I never thought that I would be able to say those words. I can’t tell you how many Kate movies live rent free in my head. I’ve admired her for so long. I’ve loved her for so long.”
Song also recently appeared in The Last Showgirl opposite Pamela Anderson.
As for her personal life, Song has been engaged to Home Alone’s Macaulay Culkin since he proposed in 2022. The pair share two sons but still have yet to get married.
