Beyoncé Knowles-Carter resumed her “Cowboy Carter” Tour in New York area, undeterred by rain as she delivered another dazzling performance.
The Grammy-winning singer kicked off the show around 8:09 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on May 28. Before she show began, the wet stage was wiped down to ensure safety, but the rain continued throughout her performance. And yet, the show still went on.
The concert marked her fourth time performing in the New York area — East Rutherford, New Jersey — on her Cowboy Carter and Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour. She is set to perform on the same stage for a total of five nights. The last show will take place May 29.
“Thank you for your love, dedication and for your your loyalty over 25 years. ” she told the crowd as she opened donning a sparkly gold ensemble, a cowboy hat and shades.
As the show continued, fans in the stadium and watching online took note of the weather conditions and the energy despite it.
“It’s pouring y’all. She’s still doing it,” an attendee noted. One fan weighed in online, saying “Her hair is soaked!! Love it.” Another added, “A true performer I lover her.”

Toward the end of the night, Beyoncé told her fans, “Thank y’all for giving all this energy in the cold and rain. I love you deep deep deep.”
Wednesday night’s show wasn’t the only time Beyoncé powered through rainy weather conditions. During her Chicago stint, Bey and thousands of fans braved severe weather conditions, an evacuation and cold temperatures.

Of course, Beyoncé first debuted her “Cowboy Carter” tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. She performed a total of five shows there, putting on a revolutionary show filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary.
As fans know, Beyoncé first released the 27-track project in March 2024. It has since made history and broken multiple records. As Beyoncé’s first country album, she deliberately featured country legends and emerging Black country artists alike. She became the first Black woman to win best country album at the 2025 Grammys and also took home album of the year.
The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26.
