Lala Kent will undergo a biopsy to remove an abnormality from her eye
She sought a second opinion after a doctor initially assumed it was an allergic reaction

Lala Kent shared a health update regarding an abnormality doctors discovered in her eye, announcing that she will soon undergo a biopsy to remove the small mass.
The Vanderpump Rules alum, 34, posted a series of Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 13. “I wanted to update you guys, because I did that video on Mother’s Day about my eye situation,” she began, per Bravo.
She continued, “So, I originally went to an eye doctor, and he was like, ‘Oh yeah, it just looks like an inflamed pinguecula,’ right? And a lot of people wrote in (online) and were saying that same type of thing, or maybe it was allergies.”
She sought a second opinion on the irritation she was experiencing in her eye. “For some reason, that just didn’t feel right because the [eye] drops [the doctor] gave me weren’t working,” Kent continued.
“I went to a doctor’s appointment today — to a doctor that came very highly recommended — and he looked at it and said, ‘I do not think it is [an inflamed pinguecula] at all. I actually want to biopsy it because, to me, it looks like it could be pre-cancer.’ So, they’re trying to expedite surgery to remove it and see what it actually is,” she explained.
The reality star said that she first noticed “discoloration” on her sclera, or “white of the eye” per Cleveland Clinic, two months ago. “I know I’ve shown you guys a million times, but I’ve been obsessing over it,” she said in a subsequent video.

She revealed that doctors planned to numb her eye to remove the mass for testing. “I was like, ‘That is so weird. What is that?’ A week and a half ago, it started becoming an actual — it looked like a blister to me … Again, it could be nothing, and that is the hope that when they go in that it’s nothing.”
“They’ll either put a stitch or they do a skin graft from the back of the eyelid … I don’t know,” she said. “I’m kind of freaking out a little.”
Two hours later, Kent shared another video while wearing her glasses in bed.
“With me not knowing what’s going on with this situation … I don’t even know why I shared with you guys,” she said. “I guess I’ve been obsessing in every form. I’ve already obsessed with my family every day, and now I’m obsessing with you guys.”

Kent recalled helping friends through their own health scares over the years, but feeling worried now that she is navigating her own.
“It’s just wild,” Kent said. “I’ll have friends who come to me when they’re going through a health situation, and I’m like, ‘It’s going to be fine. You’ll be good. We’re gonna figure it out. We’ll cross bridges when we get to them.’ “
“Then, when you’re placed in this situation, all you can do is just sit here and stress and think about every possible horrendous situation, and all of the advice that you give to people completely goes out the window. So, I’m trying to stay positive,” she concluded.
Kent was introduced as a recurring cast member on Vanderpump Rules season 4. Bravo announced that the show will be entirely recast for season 12. Kent and her ex, Randall Emmett, share 4-year-old daughter Ocean. She is also mom to daughter Sosa, who was born in September 2024.
