Zach Bryan‘s feud with collaborator John Moreland intensified over the weekend after the singer-songwriter questioned Bryan earned $350 million dollars after selling his catalog in his new record deal.
Varietyreported that the feud started after the singer-songwriter commented “$350M is a lot of money to pay for the f***** off-brand version of me. Y’all have a great day,” about Bryan’s record deal on May 7. Two days later, the country star, 29, then removed the song “Memphis; The Blues” from streaming services from his 2024 album Great American Bar Scene. According to Bryan’s posts on Instagram Stories, the track would be re-released at a later date without Moreland’s contributions.
Moreland fired back on his own Instagram Stories shortly after the song was removed and said “I don’t like that person” multiple times.
In additional posts on Instagram Stories shared on May 10, Moreland called out Bryan’s fans that were coming after him online and sarcastically quipped that “they’re gonna cancel my small-time folk-music career that I’ve had since they were in elementary school.”
But he also took the opportunity to explain how the collaboration came together in the first place and noted “I did not know that dude, never met him.” when he was first asked to be on the album.

“First time I met him, we recorded the song,” Moreland explained. “[I] didn’t have the greatest impression, but no big deal — whatever, fine. At this point, I’ve hung out with him five, six times [since the album came out and] I don’t like this mother******”
Moreland confirmed if he wouldn’t be on the album if he was asked now and added that “I don’t want to be on an album with a dude who is a dickhead to my wife and my friends right in front of me every time I see him.” He also called out Bryan for allegedly telling “borderline racist jokes more than once” and even tried to bring a 19-year-old girl into a bar.
“ As far as I’m concerned, getting kicked off a Zach Bryan album is way fucking cooler than being on a Zach Bryan album,” he concluded his video.
