Hosted and co-created by MrBeast aka Jimmy Donaldson, “Beast Games” sees 1,000 players compete in physical, mental, and social challenges for a chance to win a $10 million dollar cash prize.
The inaugural season was won by Jeffrey Randall Allen, also known as Player 831, who beat out 999 competitors to take home $10 million, after a game of chance doubled the prize. In the final round, he faced Twana Barnett, Player 830, and picked the correct briefcase containing the prize check.
According to the Guinness World Records, the show broke 44 records during film. Allen’s prize money was the largest prize fund awarded for a competitive reality TV show ($10,000,000) and the most money won in a single episode of a competitive reality TV show ($2,020,000) during the final episode.
It also broke the record for most participants (2,000 people) in a single competitive reality show season. “Beast Games” also eliminated the most participants (1,000 people) in one episode of a competitive reality show.
Donaldson, 27, currently has over 332 million subscribers to his main YouTube channel, the most of any individual creator. MrBeast has garnered a massive fanbase through his videos featuring outrageous stunts and big-money giveaways.
Sean Klitzner, Tyler Conklin, and Mack Hopkins also serve as co-creators. Sean Klitzner and Matt Apps serve as showrunners, as well as executive producers alongside Michael Cruz, Jeff Housenbold, Tyler Conklin, Michael Miller, Josh Kulic, and Chris Keiper. Tyler Conklin is returning as the Series Director.
