Cole Swindell is experiencing newborn bliss!
The country singer, 42, welcomed his first baby, a girl named Rainey Gail Swindell, with his wife, Courtney Little Swindell, on Thursday, Aug. 7. The couple shared the exciting news with a joint post on Instagram, featuring their newborn daughter wearing an all-white onesie with beige buttons.
The new mom noted her daughter’s name and birthday in the caption, calling her their “greatest blessing.” The newborn’s first name is a sweet nod to her dad, whose middle name is Rainey.
Courtney also shared a candid shot of the proud dad interacting with his little girl. In the photo, Cole smiled down at his newborn daughter, holding her on the sides, as she looked up at him.
“This is why who you marry matters 🥹 best dad already to our girl,” Courtney wrote in text over the photo. “Couldn’t ask for a more supportive partner! We are very lucky girls.”

On Monday, March 3, the singer and his wife first announced that they were expecting their first baby together. “Baby Swindell 🤍 2025,” Courtney wrote as the caption of her Instagram announcement.
In the couple’s joint post, they added a carousel of photos revealing the news. The first image included the “Single Saturday Night” singer and Courtney, embracing one another on a farm in front of an outdoor clothesline pinned with two baby onesies.
The next few images included the sonogram, with Courtney and Cole taking turns holding up the strip. Another image included their nephew, Courtney’s sister Laura’s son Brody, holding the sonogram.
Along with the sonogram images and baby clothes, a couple more snaps included Courtney in front of a white barn cradling her growing baby bump, another by herself and one with Cole by her side.
The Instagram post concluded with an adorable photo of a pair of chunky Nike Air Monarch IV sneakers with a positive pregnancy test nestled inside, a photo of the sonogram, and a baseball cap that simply read, “Dad.”

Cole exclusively revealed to PEOPLE in May 2023 that he proposed to Courtney, saying, “It’s hard to put into words how happy I am.”
“I’m just glad to have somebody to share everything with. She makes me better, and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in all parts of my life,” he said at the time.
In June 2024, the two tied the knot in a private family ceremony in Sonoma County, Calif. A few days later, the couple celebrated their nuptials with a big party in Nashville surrounded by more than 250 family members and friends.
