Alabama Barker is celebrating all the moms in her life — including her stepmom, Kourtney Kardashian.
“Happy Mother’s Day to someone who chose to love me like her own,” Alabama, 19, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, May 11, in honor of Mother’s Day, alongside a photo of Kardashian, who married Alabama’s dad, Travis Barker, in May 2022. (Travis, 49, shares Alabama with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.)
“You stepped into my life with patience, care, and an open heart, and I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done to support and guide me,” Alabama continued. “Your presence has brought comfort, strength, and so much love, and I truly appreciate the role you’ve played in my life. Thank you for showing up, for listening, and for being someone I can count on. You mean more to me than you know.”
Kourtney and Travis welcomed their first child together, Rocky Thirteen, in 2023. Along with Rocky, the couple’s now-blended family includes Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10, whom Kourtney shares with ex Scott Disick. Meanwhile, Travis shares Alabama and Landon, 21, with his ex-wife, as well as Atiana De La Hoya, 26, who is Travis’ stepdaughter by Moakler.

Alabama also shared a sweet post via Instagram Story for her mom. “Happy Mother’s Day to the woman whose love is the foundation of my strength,” Alabama wrote on Sunday, alongside a snap of Moakler. “Your endless support, kindness, and warmth have shaped who I am in more ways than words could ever capture.”
She continued, “Through every challenge and every triumph, thank you for your sacrifices, your wisdom, and your unconditional love. Today and every day, I hope you feel just how deeply appreciated and cherished you are.”
Alabama’s relationship with her mother has had its ups and downs over the years, with periods of estrangement between Moakler and her children. In April 2021, Alabama claimed Moakler had been absent from her life.
“My mom has never completely been in my life. Can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom?” Alabama wrote at the time. “Did your moms ask to see you on Mother’s Day [because] mine didn’t? I’m done keeping it a secret, reality shows.”

Alabama and Kourtney, meanwhile, have maintained a strong bond over the years. In April 2023, Alabama penned a heartfelt message for Kourtney’s birthday, writing via Instagram Story at the time, “You’re the best stepmom I could ask for, you are so caring and generous for others, you are such a family person and such a hard working mom.”
Her post continued, “Even if you don’t feel good or had a hard day, you always put your family first. You have such a beautiful aura, I wouldn’t want another stepmom.”
