LIVE co-hosts Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, just announced a major career switch-up.
On May 9, the married couple revealed a new joint project: a scripted podcast series titled Summer Breeze on Audible.

The 10-episode series is now streaming and takes Ripa and Consuelos, both 54, back to their roots with a soap-opera-esque venture.
“When a young, struggling screenwriter’s greatest dream turns into a nightmare after her script is stolen by an uber-powerful male producer [Consuelos], she [actress Sarah Steele] forms a surprising alliance with a former soap opera star [Ripa] harboring secrets of her own,” Summer Breeze‘s description reads.
Together, the two women will “devise a daring, twisted plan to seek justice against the producer through the long-running soap opera Summer Breeze” by turning the producer’s “monstrosity into their art.”

Along the way, their “scheme takes on a life of its own, blurring the lines between fiction and reality.”
The scripted podcast promises, “deception, forbidden romance, and jaw-dropping revelations” in every episode”—ultimately building to an explosive climax worthy of the daytime soap that provides our setting.”
In 1995, Ripa and Consuelos met on the set of All My Children before marrying in 1996. They have since welcomed three kids: Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 22.
Interestingly, Michael will also join them in Summer Breeze, according to a news release.
Other cast members include Zack Gilford, Talia Balsam, Adriane Lenox, Grey Henson and Ally Sheedy, among others.
“Our relationship started on All My Children, so revisiting the world of soap operas, this time through a whole new medium, was a full-circle experience,” Ripa and Consuelos said in the news release. “It’s a fresh take on the genre we love, with fun surprises, familiar voices, and something for both longtime soap fans and audio drama lovers alike.”
The exciting career news comes on the heels of another “big deal” bit of career news on Ripa’s part.
