Jim Carrey’s longtime Los Angeles home of nearly 30 years received another $1 million price cut in May
The Brentwood property was first listed for $28.9 million in February 2023 and has undergone numerous price reductions
It’s now priced at $18.8 million, a $10 million discount that’s just over 60% of the original ask
Jim Carrey’s longtime Los Angeles home has received yet another price cut more than two years after it first hit the market.
The Truman Show star, 63, first listed his sprawling home for $28.9 million in February 2023, nearly 30 years after he purchased it in 1994. The price has been slashed multiple times since then, with the current asking price coming down to $18.8 million after shaving off another $1 million in May.
The home was also briefly taken off the market in August 2024, but it was re-listed for $19.8 million one month later, according to property records. Later in December 2024, the home appeared to be “pending sale” in public records, but the deal seemingly fell through as it went back on the market two months later.
The 10,954-square-foot property located in the Brentwood neighborhood features five bedrooms and six full bathrooms.
Graham J. Larson of Sotheby’s International Realty currently holds the listing.

The two-acre property has a number of impressive features, including a tennis court, gazebo, sauna and steam room.
A waterfall adds a serene touch to the sparkling pool, which is situated near the pool house equipped with a wet bar. There’s also a relaxing trail that leads to a meditation platform.
Looking inside the ranch-style home, six fireplaces can be found in the property, along with a custom Art Deco home theater equipped with a popcorn concession room. The primary suite also offers a balcony overlooking the lush garden.

In December 2024, Carrey opened up about his outlook on Hollywood after previously declaring that he was taking a break from his decades-long acting career in April 2022.
“You can’t be definite about these things,” he told Comicbook.com in 2024. “I said I’d like to retire, but I think I was talking more about ‘power-resting.’ Because as soon as a good idea comes your way or a group of people that you really enjoyed working with and stuff, it just— things tend to change.”
The actor returned to the big screen that same month to reprise his role as Doctor Eggman in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. He joked that his reason for signing on for the sequel despite being on his acting break was because “I bought a lot of stuff and I need the money, frankly,” he said during an interview with the Associated Press.

In a 2022 interview with Access Hollywood, he emphasized that while he was “serious” about his acting break at the time, he did admit he’d be likely to return if the right project caught his eye.
“I’m being fairly serious,” he said. “It depends. If the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink, that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road. But I’m taking a break.”
In 2024, Carrey took on his first project in 2 years, reprising his voice acting role as Ivo Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
