Hannah Brown is opening up about her unexpected and rare uterine condition.
In an exclusive peek of the Tuesday, May 6, episode of Maria Menounos’ podcast, Heal Squad, the former Bachelorette star, 30, revealed she was told she had been diagnosed with a double uterus. This condition only affects about 0.3% of people with uteruses, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
Brown first explained to Menuonos that she hasn’t “quite gotten to” the stage in her life where she’s ready to have children. As she continued, she revealed her diagnosis, explaining she hasn’t undergone the exploratory surgery to learn more about her condition. “It looks like they’re attached in some way. So it’s just like a split,” she said.
The TV personality said that she’s had “so much going on” that she’s chosen to approach everything one thing at a time. “I don’t need to be stressing about that right now.” However, she said that her doctor told her to freeze her eggs when she turns 30, and Brown said, “I’m getting married this year. I will get right on that right after.”

She then acknowledged that her diagnosis can complicate things, from whether or not the size of the uterus can hold a baby, to whether one is better than the other. “But there have been cases of people having double uteruses and having babies and being perfectly fine.”
“It was definitely a shock,” she said. “But to have the knowledge of ‘Hey, this is something that you’re going to want to take care of when you’re ready for that time’ was helpful.”
The Mayo Clinic reports that people with a double uterus “often have successful pregnancies. But the condition can make you more likely to have a miscarriage or premature birth.”

Menuonos, 46, then asked if becoming a mother is something that Brown dreams of, but the TV personality confessed, “I go back and forth.”
“I definitely think I would love to have a child, and I don’t want to miss out on that experience,” she said. “But I haven’t been quite ready yet, which I think makes sense. I want to get married first. I want to be able to do that.”
“I’ve never been to just like, just waiting, waiting, waiting for that to happen,” she noted. “But I do think I’ll I’m going to want to have that experience, when it’s time.”
