If Kim Kardashian brought Old Hollywood and Nicole Kidman brought sharp elegance, Cardi B brought the drama to Balenciaga’s Haute Couture show in Paris today.
The rapper was a femme fatale in a completely see-through black lace dress. The long-sleeve, floor-length piece had a floral motif and glittering sequins all over. It also had an incredibly high leg slit on one side, that revealed Cardi’s entire leg.
The artist wore the statement dress only with transparent black tights and pointy black pumps also from the Spanish fashion house.
Her glam—voluminous Hollywood curls, thin eyebrows, a super-high cat eye, purple shadow, extra-long lashes, a bold red lip, and a diamond cheek piercing—perfectly matched her ensemble’s freak. Her long, sharp nails were also painted black and adorned with little crystals to match her gown.
Other stars who sat front row at the show included Kidman, Lorde, Katy Perry, Michelle Yeoh, Salma Hayek, Kyle MacLachlan, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Meanwhile, Naomi Campbell, Isabelle Huppert, and Kardashian (in a slipdress and a a pair of Elizabeth Taylor’s diamond earrings) walked the runway in Demna’s designs.
Cardi has been having a grand old time at Haute Couture Week in Paris. To attend the Schiaparelli show, she wore a magnificent sculptural fringe gown and accessorized with a live crow. And for the Stephane Rolland show, she brought the theatrics again, this time in a bubble jacket from the brand that enveloped her fully, like a stylish cocoon.
