Yungblud Says Ozzy Osbourne Was ‘So Full of Life’ Just Before His Death originally appeared on Parade.
British rocker Yungblud is saying goodbye to Ozzy Osbourne — a man he considered a mentor and a family member.
Following the news of Osbourne’s passing, the 27-year-old musician took to social media to pay tribute to the late rock icon. Yungblud reflected on the last time he saw Osbourne, around the time that he performed at Black Sabbath‘s final concert in July.
“I didn’t think you would leave so soon the last time we met you were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room. But as it is written with legends, they seem to know the things that we don’t,” he wrote on Instagram.

Yungblud continued, “I will never forget you – you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage. Your cross around my neck is the most precious thing I own.”
In one of their final meetings, he was able to thank Osbourne for the the cross in person. Just before the Black Sabbath show, Yungblud presented Osbourne with a cross necklace that he had custom made — a moment he shared in a touching video.
In his tribute, Yungblud also remembered another special moment he shared with Osbourne, who often wanted to help the young rocker in his career.
“You asked me once if there was anything you could do for me and as I said then and as I will say now for all of us the music was enough. You took us on your adventure – an adventure that started it all,” Yungblud wrote.
He concluded by saying he was “truly heartbroken” and that Osbourne was “the greatest of all time.”
