Josh Lucas is a married man!
The Sweet Home Alabama actor, 54, announced on Friday, July 18, that he tied the knot with Brianna Ruffalo inside the Vatican, in what he described as a “dream” wedding ceremony.
Lucas shared three black-and-white photos on Instagram announcing the news, tagging the location as Vatican City. The snapshots from the Rome, Italy, enclave showed him and his meteorologist bride staring at each other, sharing a kiss and walking out of their wedding holding hands.
Ruffalo wore a white dress with lace detailing and a matching veil for the occasion, while the Yellowstone star opted for a classic black suit.
In a follow-up post on Saturday, July 19, Lucas shared two additional photos and raved about the festivities — and those who made them happen — in his caption.
“A huge thank you to deeply talented @caterinaerrani_photography & to @weddings_italy @paolo_nassi @JinaneKafrouny @sena_wedding_world who helped make the dream of wedding in the #vatican come true,” Lucas wrote. “Many many people to thank for this to come.”

Ruffalo shared a handful of snaps in her own post on July 18, as she called herself and Lucas “Mr. and Mrs.” in the caption.
“Incredibly blessed to receive this sacrament together inside the heart of the Catholic Church and holy city,” she wrote.
“I love you! Easily one of the greatest days of my life,” Lucas commented in response. “I am so so grateful.”
Several friends and loved ones shared congratulatory messages with the couple on social media, including Allison Janney, Ricky Martin and Walton Goggins.
Lucas — who shares 15-year-old son Noah Rev with ex Jessica Ciencin Henriquez — previously revealed that he asked Ruffalo to marry him in June 2024, alongside several videos showing an emotional Ruffalo just moments after she gave her answer.
He appeared to have proposed at a restaurant as a band played an acoustic version of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and he later shared a closer look at the sparkling engagement ring in a video.
“For the last 2 years in Every Way and Every Day this beautiful soul has made me and my life better, deeper, and more whole,” the actor wrote in the caption of the post, which also featured a sweet couple shot. “I am so grateful and thrilled she said ‘Yes.’ I WAY love you Brianna. & Thank You to our families and all the people and places that made this come true. I am absolutely aware I got crazy lucky.”

Ruffalo also celebrated the relationship milestone on Instagram, posting an edited video showing her tearful reaction and a close-up of her new ring.
“Almost 2 years ago this fall, and with no expectations, Josh walked into my life.. and we knew almost immediately we had each found our person in a way we’ve never experienced- on every level. This was the easiest and best question I’ve ever answered. So, here’s to forever with my love, my best friend ❤️ I can’t wait to keep living this life with you 🙏🏼,” she wrote alongside the clip.
