‘DWTS’ Pro Mark Ballas Defends Himself Against Online Hater’s ‘Absurd’ Take originally appeared on Parade.
Mark Ballas isn’t putting up with any internet trolls.
The former Dancing With the Stars pro was recently targeted by a hater on the internet who voiced their criticism over the decision to cast Ballas on the new season of The Traitors.

A TikTok user under the name Louis Levanti recently shared a video arguing against Ballas’ casting on the Peacock reality series, insisting that another DWTS personality—such as pros EzraSosa and PashaPashkov or judge Bruno Tonioli—should have been chosen instead.
“Why Mark Ballas?” Levanti asked in the clip, prompting a response from none other than the professional dancer himself.
In a response video posted on Tuesday, July 8, Ballas, 39, stitched Levanti’s clip and provided the perfect answer to his question.
“Oh I’ll tell you why, mate,” Ballas said in his clip, before switching the camera to show off his three Mirrorball trophies.
“That’s why,” he clapped back, while adding, “11 finals too,” and ending the video with a sassy wink and a kiss to the camera.
“yeah YOU TELL HIM,” one fan wrote in response to Ballas’ video, while another user wanted to know, “Why was that even a question???”
“that’s absurd!!” someone else wrote about Levanti’s hot take.
“I will tolerate zero Mark hate,” another commenter chimed in, while others commended Ballas’ response as a “mic drop” moment.
