Zoe Saldaña has had quite the year, and between winning her first-ever Academy Award to gracing the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, she’s pulled off some incredible red-carpet looks.
The Emilia Pérez star kept that streak going on Saturday evening as she stepped out to attend the 2025 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony—also known as the “Oscars of Science”—to celebrate breakthrough accomplishments in the scientific and mathematical fields. For the occasion, she appropriately experimented with her look, debuting an ensemble that was both posh and playful.
With the help of stylist Petra Flannery, Saldaña pulled a look fresh from the runway, slipping into a brown dress from Schiaparelli’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection. Easily elegant, the fitted silhouette featured an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline, as well as two subtle pockets and a leg slit. Precise tailoring made the garment look like it was quite literally made for the actor.
Perhaps the most interesting part about the design, however, was the mesh chest piece that accompanied the dress. A thorny rose motif was seemingly “tattooed” onto Saldaña, complementing her look as any traditional necklace would while adding a bit of edge to her ensemble. Elsewhere, she accessorized with a handful of diamond-encrusted rings, as well as a pair of strappy black stilettos.
Saldaña rounded out her look with a gleaming glam, which included a smokey brown eyeshadow and a glossy pink lip. Rather than wear her hair up—as the model had on the Schiaparelli runway—the actor opted to wear her highlighted brown hair down in shiny curls. A burgundy manicure finished off her polished look.
