Zoë Kravitz is in her cool girl era—though honestly, when wasn’t she in her cool girl era? The actress’s latest look combines multiple elements of a chic city girl in the perfect unexpected sartorial cocktail. Stepping out ahead of her Late Night with Seth Meyers appearance on August 11, Kravitz paired a cropped vest with a serious piece of jewelry—in a casual, cool way, of course.

Chef’s kiss
Styled by Danielle Goldberg, Kravitz donned a black YSL vest sans undershirt. She showed off her midriff with a pair of low-rise pinstripe trousers. As for her accessories, Kravitz wrapped Jessica McCormack’s 20-carat oval eclipse diamond pendant around her neck, fashioned as a choker. She also wore McCormack’s delicate diamond Gypset hoops as part of her earring stack. Kravitz then completed her look with the trendiest accessory of the season: a headscarf. She joins the likes of Halle Berry and Anya Taylor-Joy who’ve been rocking the hair accessory. She completed the look with a pair of unexpected sporty shades and black pointed toe shoes.

Casual 20 carats
Kravitz’s latest understated chic look bears all of the hallmarks of her signature style: it’s effortlessly cool, it’s subtly trendy, and it’s just a little unexpected. Back in June, she wore another similar look, pairing a gray t-shirt and shorts with divisive flip-flops and a cool girl headscarf. Then there was the time she went braless in a chic slinky red gown on the red carpet. Or the time she paired her ruffled boho chic dress with unexpected rainbow colored shoes.
Kravitz was appearing on the late night talk show to discuss her upcoming film Caught Stealing, which sees her playing Yvonne opposite Austin Butler. “She’s great for him. She’s an EMT, and she’s a caring woman and she’s cool and she’s strong,” Butler said of her character to Vanity Fair. “New York strength, but also levity and lightness.”
