If anyone can put a chic spin on Adam Sandler’s now-famous uniform, it’s Zoë Kravitz.
The master of the effortlessly chic has just delivered another impeccable street style look, this time championing the fashionification of basketball shorts.
Kravitz’s stretchy shorts were cropped (rather than Sandler’s preferred long and baggy silhouette) high waisted, and inky black, with white stripes running down the sides. She wore them with a slouchy vintage Black History Month All-Star Game tee in a faded red, which she tucked into the shorts.
And while alone that outfit combination seems more like a cool girl’s gym look, the Blink Twice director upped the ante with a pair of black leather peep-toe kitten heels and the quilted black Baby Icare Hobo handbag from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. (The croissant-shaped bag with gold hardware is not available for purchase online just yet.)
Kravitz’s other It accessories for today’s fit? Chunky black biker shades, massive dangly single-diamond earrings, some gold rings, and a perfectly milky iced coffee. As for her easy glam, the Batman star wore no makeup and had her hair pulled back in a wet, wavy, low ponytail, making us wish we looked just as slick after coming out of the shower in this heatwave.
If there is a lesson to be learned from Kravitz’s latest fit, it’s that maybe, just maybe, your boyfriend’s old basketball shorts do have fashion potential after all.
