Genuinely obsessed with every outfit we’ve seen on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” but a moment of appreciation for Yara Shahidi. The Grown-ish actor has had an appreciation for suiting since she was a kid (she recently told GQ “Every major fashion moment of mine, starting at age 10, every milestone was celebrated with a suit. That’s all I ever wanted to wear”), and showed up on the carpet looking super chic in a suit and robe set.
A perfect interpretation of the dress code, “Tailored for You.”
Yara recently spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about her personal style, saying “I really do like to play around – I find myself in all black a lot of the time because all black is extremely chic, but when I pop something bright on, I do actually feel that lighter energy so now I do often like to have at least a little pop of color somewhere in my looks. And then there are other things that I am really drawn to like androgynous silhouettes, which I turn to a lot. There is just something really fun about that, wearing something that is typically considered to be a masculine silhouette.”
She added, “away from the red carpet, that is what a wear – a lot of trousers and white button-downs. For my Ted Talk, for example, I had to turn to what would make me feel so comfortable, and it was very obvious that I wanted to stick to that sort of vibe.”
Truly the perfect person to walk a menswear inspired carpet!
