A Michigan woman said she “screamed for 30 minutes straight” after learning she won $1 million on a lottery scratch-off ticket.
The 57-year-old Montcalm County woman said she was on the phone with her daughter when she won the massive prize on the $10 Electric 100s instant game, according to Michigan Lottery officials.
The woman purchased the lucky ticket at Zerkas General Store on North Greenville Road in Stanton, they added.
After revealing a lightbulb symbol on her ticket, and the $1 million prize alongside it, the woman said she “started screaming.”
“My daughter thought something bad had happened because I kept yelling ‘No way!’ ”she recalled. “When I told her I won $1 million, she didn’t believe it, and honestly, I didn’t believe it either.
After confirming her luck on the Lottery app, the woman continued to celebrate. “I think I screamed for 30 minutes straight!” she exclaimed.

The Michigan woman recently claimed her prize at the state’s Lottery headquarters, and opted to take home a lump sum payment of about $693,000, according to lottery officials.
She now plans to invest and buy a house with the money, which she also plans to share with her family.
“I’m still in awe and I can’t believe I’m actually here claiming $1 million,” the woman said.

Michigan Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli congratulated the woman for her big win. “Congratulations to this lucky player who is the first top-prize winner on the Electric 100s game,” she said in a statement.
The Electric family of instant games launched earlier in June, she added. Non-winning tickets can be entered into a second-chance drawing “for the opportunity to win $1 million later this year at a Detroit Tigers game!”
More than $5 million has been won playing Electric 100s games, which offer prizes from $10 to $1 million, lottery officials said. Two $1 million prizes remain, they added.
