Key Points:

  • Last year, it was announced that Lady Gaga would join the cast of Wednesday for the hit Netflix show’s second season.

  • While Gaga helped with promoting the show at this year’s Netflix TUDUM event, her role has yet to be revealed in the first four episodes of season two.

  • The singer also reportedly recorded a new song that will be featured this season.

Little Monsters need to practice patience for just a bit longer. While it was announced earlier this summer that Lady Gaga would join the cast of Wednesday for the hit show’s second season, her top secret role has still yet to be revealed.

While Wednesday season 2 dropped on Netflix this week, only the first four episodes were released for public consumption, similar to other buzzy titles like Bridgerton. And yes, a lot happens in season two’s first four episodes, but there’s still no sign of Lady Gaga quite yet, which means she will appear for the second half that releases on September 3. The superstar’s casting comes after star Jenna Ortega danced to the singer’s song “Bloody Mary” in season one that quickly became a viral sensation.

So far, all we know about Gaga’s appearance on the series is that she will portray a professor at Nevermore Academy, the fictional (and supernatural) boarding school that Wednesday Addams attends in the series,

“Welcome to Nevermore, Mother Monster,” Netflix shared on social media earlier this summer. “Lady Gaga will guest star in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 as Rosaline Rotwood — a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.”

The show’s star Jenna Ortega however has only had good things to say regarding Gaga’s upcoming appearance.

“There’s definitely dances in the show…I’m not saying anything about her character though! Let her be incredible and amazing,” Ortega previously told Entertainment Tonight. “She’s great in the show and I don’t think she’s what people expect her to be.”
