If you were completely convinced that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would make their debut at the 2025 Met Gala this year, sorry! We, the people, are fresh out of luck. Despite being out and about for a number of public appearances this year, the Sussexes decided to skip the event.
So, what are they doing instead? Judging from Instagram, Meghan and Harry are enjoying their time at home in Montecito together.

Meghan recently spoke about her busy schedule on the Jamie Kern Lima podcast, saying “To the world it’s ‘What has she been doing? Does she work?’ As opposed to ‘Oh my gosh I work so hard and I appreciate what hard work looks like, I like working hard, and I’m still working hard.'”
“The moment that everything sells out it doesn’t mean that we’re done,” she said of the success of her brand, As Ever. “It means we’re working on replenishment and what are the next SKUs, and what’s the next tranche of products, and what’s the timing on that? And writing the newsletters and writing the social media captions and making sure that all that falls in line. And what’s the cadence of it, and what’s the photography that we want to do, what do I want to wear for those shoots? While also editing all the time coded notes for season two of With Love Megan, and then being in edits for the podcast, and being a mom and a wife and a friend.”
“Those are all jobs,” she added. “I mean, I love being that busy, but I do think it’s really interesting when people have no sense of what goes into the thing, and then when the thing seems as though it’s like ‘oh, wow, huge,’ the thing’s not done. The finish line was really the starting line.”
Point is: Meghan is busy! So not a huge shock she and Harry didn’t make it to the Met Gala this year.
