Just like in the real world, getting a one-on-one date on The Bachelor doesn’t mean you’re in a relationship, and just because you get engaged at the end of it doesn’t guarantee a wedding. One couple currently hoping to make it to their happen ending is The Bachelor‘s Kelsey Anderson and Joey Graziadei. In fact, they’re in the middle of wedding plans right now, and Kelsey teased her and Joey’s wedding date in a new interview.

“We really don’t want to be stressed,” Kelsey told Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. “We don’t want to just throw things.” While the instinct coming off of a reality show might be to strike while the iron is hot and plan a large, extravagant wedding, Kelsey wants to slow down, enjoy her engagement, and take her time planning the big day, which is why they’re currently eyeing a spring 2027 wedding.

As for what Kelsey and Joey’s wedding will look like, they’re still in the early stages. “I definitely want our wedding to be pretty timeless,” she teased. “I want it to be able, in 30 or 40 years, to look like it could be done then.”

Kelsey was light on the details (no theme or wedding colors), but she does know that she won’t be planning the wedding alone. “I want the wedding to be a part of both of us,” she said. “I know a lot of times the guys kind of let the lady take over, but I don’t now [about that]. I want it to be a representation of both of us equally.”

Of course, Kelsey and Joey have only been engaged for a year, ever since the season finale of season 28 of The Bachelor. And if they make it down the aisle, Joey would be only the 4th Bachelor lead to tie the knot. (The show doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to longevity.)

In the meantime, Kelsey told Sports Illustrated Swimsuit that she’s enjoying getting to know her fiancé away from the cameras. “You learn so much more,” she said. “I always knew that Joey was a sweet, kind man. But I feel like his goofiness has really come out more post-show and the more we get to know each other.”
