Happy Gilmore 2 is chock-full of celebrity cameos, from elite athletes like Rickie Fowler and Kelsey Plum to artists like Eminem and Post Malone.
Travis Kelce made an appearance too, and some fans believed that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, may have made her own secret cameo in disguise.
Admittedly, the evidence was thin, but that didn’t stop the Swifties, who questioned whether it was the pop star inside a bear costume during a scene with her boyfriend. However, Swift later denied the speculation.
“This is one of those ones where [Travis and I] will send it to each other and I’m like, ‘Hey, did you hear I was the bear?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, did you hear we bought a house in Lake Como?’” she said of the rumor during her August 2025 appearance on Travis and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.
“Whoever did the bear acting was exquisite,” Swift added.

The theory is that Swift is the one in the bear costume during that scene where Bad Bunny’s character, Oscar, slathers a shirtless Kelce with honey as the NFL star is attacked by a bear.

Netflix shared a behind-the-scenes video of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end preparing for the scene on July 31, 2025, via Instagram, and the fans ran wild in the comments.
“They should’ve dressed Taylor as a bear for an epic surprise,” one fan wrote.
Netflix replied to the comment with the eyes emoji, which was enough to fuel the speculation.
“Ok but who is the bear! @taylorswift 👀,” one fan wrote.
“Dying to know is it @taylorswift in the bear costume?? I hope so!” added another, with a third writing, “Why do I feel like taylor was in the bear suit!!? 😂😂😂 ❤️.”

Swift responded to the speculation about her possible cameo in the film during her August 2025 debut on “New Heights.”
“I can deny [the rumor],” she said. “At this point, we’re like, of course they think I’m inside of the bear costume. I’m honored to be thought of in that context because I loved that movie so much, I watched it multiple times. Loved it so much.”

The video came a week after Swift promoted the movie via her own Instagram Story, sharing the film’s poster and adding a caption that calls out the bear scene with a honey pot emoji.
“Happy Gilmore 2 had me cackling and cheering the whole movie!” she wrote on July 25, 2025. “An absolute must watch 13/10, go watch it on @netflix as soon as humanely possible. 🍯.”
Happy Gilmore 2 is the sequel to the 1996 Adam Sandler golf comedy. The movie picks up in the present day as Happy (Sandler) returns to the PGA Tour to win money to send his daughter to a prestigious ballet school.
While there’s not much evidence that Swift was in the bear suit, it wouldn’t be outlandish for her to have been on set. Not only has she been dating Kelce for two years, but she has developed a relationship with Sandler. She has also met his two daughters, Sadie and Sunny.
“Taylor is incredible,” Sandler told Entertainment Tonight in an interview published July 16, 2025. “Taylor is so damn nice to my family and has always been. My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she’s ridiculously nice to them and warm.”
