As celebrities started arriving at the 2025 Met Gala dressed to the nines, one star’s look really drew the eye, and that was Whoopi Goldberg.
The talk show host made a rare appearance in full glam, fully embracing the event’s theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” in a Thom Browne look that combined white and black and feminine and masculine to form an ensemble spot on for the event.

Goldberg’s look featured a black suit dress that buttoned down the front with a white, bride-like jacket over the top that added structure and volume. On her head, she wore a black top hat with a matching veil around it. The Viewhost completed the look with a variety of gold rings and other accessories, including gold coverings over the ends of all of her fingers.

Both Good Morning America and The View shared a clip of Goldberg on the red carpet on social media, with fans overwhelming in support of her look.
“Literally understood the assignment,” declared one such fan, while more commented, “ATEEEEEEEE🔥,” “She served I fear,” and “Auntie yessssss 🔥🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾 always classy.”
