Before The Amazing Race 37 began, it branded itself a “season of surprises.” Indeed, this season of the CBS reality veteran threw in something different every single week, ranging from the return of old-school twists to some brand-new concepts. And some of the titular surprises came from the teams themselves, including epic comebacks, massive meltdowns and heartwarming moments. Now only four teams remain in the race for a million dollars: Married couple Alyssa and Josiah Borden, friends Carson McCalley and Jack Dodge, siblings Han and Holden Nguyen and married parents Jonathan and Ana Towns.
Ahead of next week’s finale, which includes the penultimate episode on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, and the final leg on Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, here’s how we rank the chances of each of the teams taking home the win and the milion-dollar prize that goes with it.

Who will win The Amazing Race 37?
4. Han and Holden Nguyen
The Amazing Race at its simplest is one concept: Do not get eliminated. And, despite having the worst track record out of the final four teams, Han and Holden proves that’s all that matters. The youngest team on the race, the siblings have had their fair share of issues, ranging from rushing ahead without necessary details to getting bogged down in making things perfect. But time and time again, they’ve scraped by, including getting spared elimination by the first outright non-elimination leg in four seasons. Of course, past seasons have shown that truly anyone can win the final leg depending on circumstances and environment. But if we were to place our bets on which team would fall short of that final leg, it would most likely be Han and Holden.
3. Jonathan and Ana Towns
Jonathan and Ana possess some of the best racing skills out of any of the teams this season. They’re currently tied for most first-place finishes, having won three legs as well as the first Express Pass and the brand-new power of the “Driver’s Seat.” But the married parents have become the most talked-about team of the season due to Jonathan’s intensity and hot head. Throughout the season, when things haven’t gone their way, we’ve seen him simultaneously shut down and get frustrated about both the situation and his wife. His behavior his its peak (or valley) in the last episode, as Ana’s difficulties on a task and navigating had him completely taking over, telling her, “You’re a terrible partner.” Considering how intense we left things in France, there’s a very fair chance that negative energy follows them to the end of the race, which could cause things to fall apart right when they need to be their most cohesive.

2. Alyssa and Josiah Borden
On the opposite side of the married couple spectrum are Alyssa and Josiah. As Alyssa talked about in this most recent episode, whenever something doesn’t go right for them, they choose to save the anxiety and emotionality for the car, rather than the task itself. Though, to be fair, there’s very little that has gone wrong for the nurse anesthetists this entire season. Between Alyssa’s hyper-competitiveness and Josiah’s increasingly-interesting life story, the two have been one of the most consistent teams of the season, winning two legs. On paper, they have all the skills they need to be this season’s winners. But there’s something about their edit that’s not making them shine as much as…
1. Carson McCalley and Jack Dodge
Maybe it’s the fact that the gamers know how to string together a good soundbite. Maybe it’s that they spent the first half of the season dominating the competition and getting a lot of content. Maybe it’s that they were somehow able to claw themselves from the edge of elimination, being at one point three hours behind the other teams, to finally reaching the top of the pack this past leg. But we have gotten a lot of Carson and Jack in the edit this season. The friends have shown their ability to excel, as well as battle with their backs against the wall. And they’re arguably peaking at just the right time going into these last two legs. The “winner’s edit” is a tough thing to claim on The Amazing Race as opposed to other shows like Survivor. But it would not be a surprise at all for the D&D aficionados to get a huge amount of loot at the end of their world-traveling dungeon-crawling adventure.
