No, James isn’t leaving Y&R, nor is Devon bidding Genoa City goodbye. There’s plenty of drama on The Young and the Restless to keep James put, especially after this summer in France.

However, in a crossover event fans have been waiting for since Beyond the Gates debuted this year, Devon is headed to Fairmont Crest. Parade previously reported the news, and now new details have come to light, including when the crossover is happening.
According to Soap Opera Network, Y&R’s Devon debuts on Monday, August 11. Devon will have interactions with Anita (Tamara Tunie), Vernon (Clifton Davis), and Dani (Karla Mosley).

Vernon and Anita meet with Devon, which comes hot on the heels of The Articulettes’ smash hit reunion. Since Devon’s a music guy, it should surprise no one that he has a proposition for Anita that could set the stage for more Beyond the Gatesand The Young and the Restless crossover events.
Although this is the first time The Young and the Restless and Beyond the Gates have had a crossover, Y&R and The Bold and the Beautiful have done it many times over the past three decades.
