‘When Calls the Heart’ Costars Surprise Fans by Getting Married After Secret Engagement originally appeared on Parade.
Hallmark fans are celebrating the real-life love story of When Calls the Heart costars Erin Krakow and Ben Rosenbaum after the couple announced they’re married.
Krakow, 40, and Rosenbaum, 38, shared two wedding photos via Instagram on Monday, June 23, with the simple caption, “♾️.”
In the pictures, the actress wore a white satin short-sleeve gown with a long tulle veil and held a bouquet of flowers. Rosenbaum, for his part, sported a brown double-breasted suit with a white button-down shirt. The bride and groom kissed in one photo, while they smiled for the camera in another.
When Calls the Heart fans were surprised by the reveal since Krakow and Rosenbaum kept their engagement a secret. While the two have been linked since January 2023, they have maintained a low-profile relationship since they began dating and did not make their romance Instagram official until February 2024.

“I am tearing up, this announcement made my heart glad!” one commenter wrote. “It needed to happen.”
Another fan replied on the post, “Omg congratulations my favorite couple!!! So beautiful.”
Given the private nature of Krakow and Rosenbaum’s relationship, some fans were even confused by the announcement, with one person asking, “Is this a Hallmark movie or real?”
Krakow and Rosenbaum have starred on When Calls the Heart since 2014, portraying Elizabeth Thatcher and Mike Hickam, respectively, for 12 seasons. They are not the first couple to fall in love on the set of the Hallmark Channel series either — Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant) and Kayla Wallace (Fiona Miller) confirmed their marriage in September 2024.
McGarry and Wallace were among the Hallmark stars to congratulate Krakow and Rosenbaum in the comments section of their joint post.
“Beautiful pictures, beautiful friends, beautiful husband and wife — xo,” McGarry wrote.
Wallace added in her own comment, “I’m still crying. My favourite pairing!”
