The Cinco de Mayo weekend continues with an exhilarating boxing event on Saturday. Mexican star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will face William Scull in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Canelo Alvarez, known for his aggressive style and powerful punches, steps into the ring as an experienced veteran, with a 62-2-2 record that includes 39 knockouts. Canelo fought twice in 2024, defeating Jaime Munguia by unanimous decision in May, and then securing another unanimous decision victory over Edgar Berlanga in September.
Scull enters the ring with a record of 23-0, including nine knockouts, and currently holds the IBF super middleweight championship, which was previously held by Alvarez. Scull earned this title after winning by unanimous decision against Vladimir Shishkin last October.
