The Young and the Restless finally revisited Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and what happened on her work trip storyline. It has been a few weeks since the storyline was addressed on the daytime drama.

Mariah has been troubled since she returned to Genoa City after being away on business. However, she insists on keeping what went down a secret, because that is the soap way after all.

Thanks to Mariah’s chat with her mom, Sharon (Sharon Case), fans know she didn’t cheat on her wife, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). It’s clear that Mariah did something that Tessa won’t forgive her.

Mariah flashing back to a mystery man approaching her on her trip has only added fuel to fans’ fire about what she did while away. After all, she keeps saying what went down was so awful, but not spilling any tea about it.

However, since the storyline hasn’t given any answers and is only sporadically visited, The Young and the Restless fans have thoughts on what is happening with Mariah.

One fan shared on X, “Ok so Mariah probably told the older man, likely from her past, alllll about Tessa and Aria. Mariah has probably put them in danger.” A different fan wrote, “Is that Ian’s brother in Mariah’s flashback?”

Others are convinced that Mariah can’t come clean because the writers don’t know what she did yet or are about to rewrite history.

“Mariah can’t say what she did because the writers don’t know yet! this will be slow burn SL IMO and all of sudden will move along maybe !” read an X.

Another X user stated, “Watch #YR pull a rewrite out of their a– and say Mariah has some ‘repressed’ childhood trauma that came out of nowhere and do something that affects Tessa and Aria… Watch.”

There’s no question that Y&R fans are ready to know what Mariah did on the hit CBS soap, and also that fans won’t find out anytime soon. One thing everyone can agree on is that the storyline is being dragged out.

July sweeps are on the horizon. Here’s hoping we get more answers on what Mariah did instead of just her saying it was so bad and she can’t tell anyone.
