Sixteen teams will be selected as regional hosts for the tournament, with the winner of each four-team regional moving onto super regionals, where two teams will play a three-game series for a spot in the WCWS. From there, eight teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket for the right to advance to the three-game finals.
Oklahoma is looking for an unprecedented fifth consecutive national championship in 2025, and it has a strong chance again at being the No. 1 overall seed on Sunday. But the Sooners have plenty of competition from within their own conference, which boasts the top six teams in the country, per USA/ESPN.com’s latest 25 rankings.
