‘Wednesday’ Stars Tease More Enid Love Triangle Drama to Come in Season 2 (Exclusive) originally appeared on Parade.
When Wednesday Season 2 premiered on Netflix, there was a lot of change coming into a new semester at Nevermore Academy. That includes the love life of fan-favorite character Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers). At the end of Season 1, her kindling romance with Ajax (Georgie Farmer) had turned to full-on flame. But the Gorgon’s chances with the werewolf turned to stone after the summer, putting their new relationship immediately in jeopardy.
“When we knew that we were doing Season 2, sort of mapping that out, I remember thinking, ‘Oh, I wonder if there’ll be smooth sailing, or if there’s going to be any sort of challenges in their relationship,'” Farmer says in an exclusive interview with Parade.

“And then, when we got to it, and I read the character of Bruno, I remember thinking like, ‘Okay, it’ll be interesting to see what the character’s like, and how it’s going to look.’ And then I remember seeing Noah walk on set for the first time. He had this very cool mullet haircut and the nice varsity jacket. And I was just like, ‘There’s no way I can compete with this guy. He’s just way too cool.'”
Indeed, Noah B. Taylor’s Bruno arrived on the scene for Season 2 to bring some new blood – or should I say, New Moon. That’s because his presence as Enid’s leader of the pack sets up a complicated dynamic, to say the least. In the first four episodes, Enid actively avoids interacting with Ajax, feeling she’s changed after spending her summer with her werewolf pack. But she’s more than happy to spend some time with Bruno and, in a tense moment with their lives on the line, the two shared their first kiss.
Farmer and Taylor both spoke with Parade about their love triangle with Enid developed, and what more we can expect from it when the rest of Wednesday Season 2 drops on Sept. 3.

Noah, you got brought in as a new cast member this season. What was it like to hop aboard such a popular show for Season 2?
Noah B. Taylor: I literally jumped for joy and screamed. It was really late when I found out; it was like 2:00 a.m. And I called my mom, and I was just so excited. Getting to join the cast was amazing. I mean, they were so welcoming. They made me feel like part of the team right away. Georgie was so sweet to me, brought me under his wing. It was amazing.
Georgie, Season 1 of Wednesday really created some sparks between Ajax and Enid. So what was your reaction when you found out what would be happening in Season 2?
Georgie Farmer: It’s interesting. I remember thinking, when we knew that we were doing Season 2, sort of mapping that out. I remember thinking, “Oh, I wonder if there’ll be smooth sailing, or if there’s going to be any sort of challenges in their relationship.” And then, when we got to it, and I read the character of Bruno, I remember thinking like, “Okay, it’ll be interesting to see what the character’s like, and how it’s going to look.”. And then I remember seeing Noah walk on set for the first time. He had this very cool mullet haircut and the nice varsity jacket. And I was just like, “There’s no way I can compete with this guy. He’s just way too cool.”
Noah, what were you given in terms of background about Bruno?
Noah: He’s a new student at Nevermore. I don’t know how much I can really say, because Part 2 is not out yet. But I was told a lot of things about my character when from the go that allowed me to play it with given circumstances and personal history in place for Bruno.
What was it like getting to film that first kiss scene between Bruno and Enid with both of their lives on the line?
Noah: Oh, it was amazing. I think that was one of my favorite scenes to shoot. We were chained up. We had those chains for a week. And that set is so cool. A lot of fun. The whole knife rig was just, I mean, so fun. We’re lying on the ground with the grates and everything. That was a really fun week for me. It’s a good time.
Georgie, how did you approach the first half of Season 2, knowing that essentially Ajax finds out “she’s just not that into you”?
Georgie: Yeah, brutal. So I think coming back this year, what was really important, especially for the Ajax character, is that he’s really trying to feel more confident in himself and sort of in his powers. Alongside, also sort of dealing with that heartbreak is something that he’s going to sort of have to balance out. I think he’s just feeling a lot of things right now in these first four episodes that he’s got to sort of work through. And I guess, yeah, you’ll just have to wait and see what ends up happening with it, and if he’s able to get over it, I guess.
Season 2 Part 1 teased a possible connection between Ajax and Bianca, especially when he helps her hide her mother, who escaped from a cult. Is there anything potentially brewing between these two?
Georgie: I think it’s hard to comment on that right now. I think in the first four episodes, Ajax is really struggling to get over the Enid and Bruno situation. He’s been really hurt by that. I think Bianca has always been a great friend for Ajax. They were in the Nightshades together, and I think he sees her like a really, really good and trustworthy friend. And he wants to help his friends. He wants to be there for them. He wants to help them where he can. And you never know with Nevermore. Sorry to give you the cliffhanger, but you’ll have to wait and see.
What can you tease about what to expect from this love triangle going into the second half of Season 2?Are we gonna do a knock-down, drag-out brawl between the two of you?
Noah: Maybe, who knows? I can’t get into specifics, but I will say that it does get complicated. It gets even more complex, and there are a lot of unexpected twists and turns that were a lot of fun to play. And I’m excited for people to see where things go.
Finally, give me one record to describe the rest of Wednesday Season 2.
Georgie: Epic.
Noah: I was gonna say “grand.” I think the scale is very impressive.
