After a suspenseful three-year wait, Wednesday has returned to haunt our screens for a second season. Fortunately, four 60-minute episodes of the show’s sophomore season premiered on Netflix today. Unfortunately, fans of the spooky series must wait a full torturous month for the final four episodes to be released on September 3.
If you’re like us, you’ve already binged the first part in its entirety. Without spoilers, the season was full of all the expected mystery, intrigue, deadpan humor, and the kooky antics of the Addams family.
Who is in season two?
There are some familiar faces this season; Jenna Ortega as the titular character, Catherine Zeta Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, and we are still waiting to see what character Lady Gaga will portray.
There are some new oddballs appearing as well, including Steve Buscemi as the ambitious Principal Dort and Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump.
What does the future hold for Wednesday?
The cliffhanger from season one was addressed, only for season two episode four to end on an even crazier one. It’s safe to say we’re dying of suspense.
Co-creator and co-showrunner Miles Millar said in a statement to Tudum, “We have a broader canvas and more toys to play with. The world of Nevermore is much expanded — and we had a great time doing it.”
And the world of Nevermore is still expanding. Netflix already renewed Wednesday for a third season before the season two premiere. But before we get ahead of ourselves, read on for a guide to each eerie episode in season two.
