Might we be seeing Gwyneth Paltrow on the next season of With Love, Meghan this fall? Nothing has been confirmed, but Paltrow is game to join the show, according to a new interview over the weekend. When asked about appearing on season two of Meghan Markle’s Netflix series, Paltrow told People, “Sure! Why not? You never know. I don’t bake that well, but I can always try.”
The two Montecito residents appeared on a very brief cheeky social media video together in March as many compared the release of the Duchess of Sussex’s new company, As Ever, to Paltrow’s Goop, one of the gold standards in celebrity lifestyle brands. Responding to a fan question about rumored tension with Meghan, Paltrow said she had no idea where the speculation was coming from and couldn’t make sense of it. She then turned as the camera revealed Meghan sitting beside her at the kitchen table, casually eating pie and indicating zero tension whatsoever.
Since then, Paltrow told People she and Meghan now have a “text friendship.” “I’ve been traveling quite a bit,” the actress added.
In an interview with Vanity Fair earlier this year, Gwyneth Paltrow opened up a bit about the Sussexes. “I don’t know Meghan and Harry,” she said. “I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all.” Paltrow added, “Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie.” In 2023, the Sussexes reportedly went out to dinner with Paltrow and her husband Brad Falchuk, but it was never confirmed.
At the time, Paltrow said she hadn’t watched Meghan’s series With Love, Meghan, but that she also was unbothered by any comparisons between the two. When “there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them,” she said, adding that she welcomes Meghan into the lifestyle space. “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,” she adds. “I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”
While we wait to hear if Paltrow will appear, one celebrity guest has been confirmed so far: Chrissy Teigen will join season two of With Love, Meghan, according to People. The cookbook author has previously shared using some of Meghan’s jam in her home cooking videos on Instagram.
The first season of the show premiered on March 4 and was quickly renewed for a second. A release date hasn’t been announced, but the new episodes are expected this fall.
