Rejoice, Bridgerton fans! Netflix just posted not one but two new updates this afternoon. On social media, the streamer revealed an official teaser of season four’s highly anticipated masquerade ball.
The footage shows Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) catching a glimpse of Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) in a crowded ballroom under a glittering chandelier. “My, my… It seems as though someone has finally caught the attention of Mr. Benedict Bridgerton,” reads the caption.

The streamer also confirmed via social media that season four will debut in 2026 and that the series will return for a fifth and a sixth season.
There was no further information provided, so inevitably there will be continued speculation as to which Bridgerton siblings these seasons will follow. The TV series has departed from the order of the books it’s based on (season four is adapted from what was originally the third book in the series, An Offer From a Gentleman) so anything is possible, though it’s likely these two seasons will focus on Francesca and Eloise given the characters’ ages.

Earlier this week, Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Bridgerton (née Featherington) on the program, revealed a few new details about the upcoming season, and shared that the cast is currently filming.
“We’re shooting it still, takes a long time to shoot Bridgerton, takes about eight months, this one’s taken nine. So it’s a full pregnancy this season of Bridgerton,“Coughlan quipped. That’s not to say Coughlan’s character, Penelope Bridgerton (née Featherington), is having another baby on the show. But Coughlan did say we’ll see more of Penelope and Colin’s domestic life while Penelope also balances her life and career after Whistledown.
“In terms of me, I’ve got a ginger baby. She’s a married woman, she’s a writer, but it’s delightful and gorgeous as always,” Coughlan said, speaking about Penelope. And this being Bridgerton, there’s one thing we should always expect: “What’s coming? Lots more romance.”
