(The Center Square) – In today’s edition of Illinois in Focus Daily, The Center Square Editor Greg Bishop discusses the back and forth over federal tax funding for public schools and an Illinois state senator’s call for the governor to opt into the federal school choice scholarship tax credit program.
Bishop also shares recent comments from members of the hemp industry about what they say are common sense regulations for the industry, including taxation. On the subject of taxing cannabis, Bishop looks at some recent financial data on how much tax revenue is being raised from recreational marijuana sales and where that money goes.
