Let’s hear it for these divas!
As has become tradition at every one of Role Model’s shows, the singer, who is on our list of 100 Reasons to Love America this year, brings out a special guest to join him while he performs the song “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” to be his “Sally” during the bridge between choruses. Though on many occasions the role goes to a fan in the audience, the 28-year-old sometimes brings out a celebrity guest for the special moment. And on one extra special occasion, the honor went to his mom, Susan Pillsbury.
While speaking with Rolling Stone about the viral moments, he said that he hopes Kacey Musgraves will join him one of these days.
“We’re playing a few of the same festivals, so we’ll see if we could make that happen,” he said.
While we keep our fingers crossed for a Role Model x Kacey Musgraves collab, here’s a look back at the singer’s best “Sally” moments so far.

Conan Gray
For one of his most recent gigs at New York City’s Gov Ball Music Festival, Conan Gray ran out on stage as the day’s Sally. The first order of business was giving Role Model a big smooch before dropping to the ground.
Once back on his feet, Gray hopped around in his “Wish I Were Sally” T-shirt and mouthed along to the words.
Reneé Rapp
The vibes could not have been better when Reneé Rapp joined Role Model on stage in April with a huge smile on her face.
With a beverage in one hand, Rapp jumped around while interacting with both the crowd and Role Model who matched her energy perfectly.
Bowen Yang
When it was time to bring his act to late night television for his Tonight Show debut, Role Model did so with the help of Bowen Yang. The SNL star had the choreo down as he walked out on stage after hearing the magic words: “Where’s my Sally tonight?”

Back in April when Role Model brought his tour to Boston — just a few hours from where he grew up in Maine — he had an extra special lady join him as “Sally.”
After giving her son a hug, the singer’s proud mom Susan Pillsbury, danced around in her “New England born and raised” T-shirt.

With Role Model rocking a cowboy hat at the House of Blues Dallas, influencer and podcaster Jake Shane hit the stage to the sound of the crowd’s cheers.
Before leaving the stage, Shane blew the singer a kiss and gave him a hug before waving to the audience. This wasn’t the first time the two entertainers had collaborated; Role Model appeared as a guest on Shane’s Therapuss podcast on two separate occasions last year.

In a look that made us double-take, Dylan Minnette — who is not only an actor but also a fellow musician — walked out at an L.A. show earlier this year in a tight white long sleeve shirt ready to strut around the stage.
