Walton Goggins had some familiar faces in the audience as he made his Saturday Night Live hosting debut.
Goggins, 53, hosted the penultimate episode of season 50 on May 9, and two of his White Lotus costars were by his side to celebrate: Michelle Monaghan and Sam Rockwell.
Monaghan, who played Jaclyn on season 3 of the Mike White hit series, shared a carousel of photos and videos from Studio 8H after watching her former costar host, writing on Instagram, “I can’t remember laughing so hard in one weekend!! 😂 What a night!! Bravo.”

“An honor and an absolute hoot to get to experience the magic. Walt – you killed it brother! As did this epic crew of rascals,” Monaghan, 49, wrote.

In her post, she shared a behind-the-scenes video of Goggins’ monologue when his mom joined him onstage and several selfies from backstage. Justin Theroux and Gina Gershon were also on hand to celebrate the hosting debut, as was Goggins’ Righteous Gemstones costar Danny McBride.
The actor’s wife Nadia and teenage son Gus were also featured in Monaghan’s post, including in one epic photo in a hallway of Studio 8H.

“Every frame… I want you in… and to be in all of yours sister. Thank you for making it out last night,” Goggins wrote in the comments of Monaghan’s post.
He said that it “lit [him] up seeing [her] face” in the audience.

Goggins reflected on his spin on The White Lotus in his opening monologue, as he said, “Most of you probably know me from The White Lotus. No spoilers, but I die.”
He also remarked on how his “brooding” character became a fan favorite as “the internet seemed to find that attractive.”
“Some of my friends have even asked me 1. What does it feel like to become a sex symbol at 53 years old? And you know what, if I’m being honest, it feels fantastic.”
Headlines about his “receding hairline” and “bulging” eyes, though, made him feel less fantastic, he said.

Goggins’ SNL debut comes after another one of his White Lotus costars, Aimee Lou Wood, called out the late-night sketch comedy series for what she called a “mean and unfunny” portrayal of her character.
Following the controversy, Wood, 31, told Entertainment Tonight she would not be making any cameos during Goggins’ SNL episode, but she did say that their time together on the show was the “best thing ever.”
“I loved working with Walton,” the actress said, shutting down feud rumors.
