Valerie Bertinelli celebrated Mother’s Day, May 11, by sharing a photo and video of her and son Wolfgang Van Halen getting updates on their matching tattoos.
The first part of the carousel posted on Instagram is a closeup still photo of the pair, with Wolfgang sporting a mustache and beard and Valerie wearing a newsboy cap and glasses.

A video in the second part shows Bertinelli getting a tattoo as the song “Dreams” by the Cranberries plays in the background. During the video, the tattoo artist working on Bertinelli jokingly says “whoops,” prompting the former Food Network star to laugh.
Later in the clip, Valerie and Wolfgang hold their arms next to each other’s to show off the matching tats.
“Getting the second half of our matching tattoos. To the 🌙 and back @wolfvanhalen my biggest blessing and most fulfilling joy is being your mother. Thank you @tokyohiro! ♥️🌎🔁🌙♥️,” Bertinelli captioned the post.
“Love you Maaaaaaaaaa ❤️❤️❤️,” Wolfgang responded.

Fans also loved the public display of affection between mother and son and the post.

Earlier that same day, a post shared by director Robert Rodriguez, Bertinelli and Wolfgang on Instagram noted that the video clip “The End” by Wolfgang’s band Mammoth VH has racked up 1 million views. A clip from the video showing Wolfgang soloing as he walks down the stage was accompanied by Rodriguez’s comment: “Congrats @Wolfvanhalen! One million views and counting, this isn’t The End, it’s The Beginning!”
