Usher did not hear a fan saying “Yeah!” but he still tried feeding her a cherry over and over again during his show — only to find out that she was actually allergic to the fruit.
During the singer’s Past Present Future Tour show at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday, he went up to a fan in the crowd who had his name tattooed on her arm. After kissing the tattoo, Usher told her, “You’re going to get me in trouble.”
The “OMG” crooner then held up a cherry, offering to feed it to her. But in a fan video uploaded to Twitter, she can be seen pushing his arm away and clearly saying that she’s allergic. He nodded, smiled, and seemed to accept that she couldn’t eat the cherry.
But then Usher continued to offer it to her. She pushed his arm away again, repeating that she can’t eat the cherry because she’s allergic. He appeared to be shocked that she’d turn it down, but told her, “Okay,” as he put the cherry back in the container.
However, he smiled as he held up the cherry for her one more time. She repeated over and over that she’s allergic as he kept bringing the cherry closer to her mouth. She pushed his hand down one more time as he finally got the message.
“Oh s—, you allergic to cherries?” he said into the microphone. The crowd laughed as she nodded and said, “Yes.”
Usher breathed a loud sigh of relief into the mic and hugged her before saying, “Anybody got an EpiPen in this bitch? I’m sorry. We almost had an emergency in here.”

Usher has incorporated feeding cherries into his performances since his 2022-23 Las Vegas residency, but this is the second time in the same week that it’s gotten him into trouble. On Wednesday, he apologized to Sabrina Carpenter’s father for feeding her a cherry at the Met Gala.
Sabrina shared on Instagram a screenshot of her text conversation with her dad David Carpenter, where he sent her the photo of her and Usher that he saw on Twitter. “? Weird,” David told her.
Ever the gentleman, Usher then made things right with Sabrina’s father in the comments of her Instagram post. “Apologies Mr. Carpenter,” the singer wrote, along with the cry-laughing and cherry emojis.
