‘Trying to gaslight’: Joe Rogan slams Trump admin’s handling of Epstein investigation

Furor from President Donald Trump’s supporters over the Jeffrey Epstein probe continues to boil and now popular podcaster and Trump supporter Joe Rogan said he feels that the administration’s lack of transparency “is a line in the sand” and accused the administration of “trying to gaslight” on the topic.

Rogan, who backed Trump for the presidency last year, sounded off on his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” on Friday, chastising the administration for not releasing the files and information about the sex offender and his alleged clients.

Rogan said on the podcast, which boasts millions of subscribers, that the country will still be looking for answers on the probe after Congress returns from its August break.

“This one’s a line in the sand because this is one where there’s a lot of stuff about, you know, when we thought Trump was going to come in and a lot of things are going to be resolved,” he said.

“And when you have this one hardcore line in the sand that everybody [has] been talking about forever and then they’re trying to gaslight you on that,” Rogan added before shaking his head.

The podcast host has repeatedly discussed the Epstein case on his show and pushed for the federal government to release more information on its probe and put out the Epstein files.

On July 7, the Justice Department and FBI announced that no further records from the Epstein investigations would be released, saying that many of the files contained child sex-abuse material, while other information could potentially cause trauma for Epstein’s victims.

The memo further noted that their review “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”

“To that end, while we have labored to provide the public with maximum information regarding Epstein and ensured examination of any evidence in the government’s possession, it is the determination of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation that no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted,” the memo stated.

During his 2024 presidential bid, Trump embraced podcasts as a key media strategy to reach audiences beyond traditional outlets. Now, several podcasters — including Rogan — are sharing their frustration over how Trump has handled the Epstein files saga.

Andrew Schulz, who hosted Trump on his “Flagrant” podcast during the 2024 campaign, criticized Trump for saying it was a “waste” of time to talk about Epstein.

“We’re wasting time … in all seriousness, that is, I think, what is enraging people right now, is it’s insulting our intelligence,” Schulz said on his podcast earlier this month.

Rogan’s guest on the episode, former CIA officer Mike Baker, also pushed for the information related to the probe to be released in its entirety and criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi for not following through.

“The mob wants to eat, and they’ve been throwing red meat to the mob about Epstein files now for years,” Baker said.

“It’s part of how they got elected,” Rogan interjected.

Trump has dismissed concerns about his administration’s handling of the situation and made claims that the conspiracy theories were a hoax.

The president has denied reports that Bondi and her deputy, Todd Blanche, informed Trump in May that his name appeared multiple times in the Epstein files that the Department of Justice and the FBI reviewed.

Rogan also slammed FBI Director Kash Patel, who was a guest on his show last month and talked about the investigation into Epstein. Rogan panned Patel’s promises that the government would provide more evidence and details about the probe,

“Like, do you think we’re babies? Like, what is this?” Rogan asked.
