President Trump ripped Democrats for flooding “our nation with Criminal Invaders” Sunday after an off-duty Customs and Border Protection agent was robbed by an illegal migrant then shot in the face in a Manhattan park.
The president assailed sanctuary city policies as the Department of Homeland Security named one of the two suspects in Saturday night’s robbery in upper Manhattan as Dominic national Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez.
The migrant, 21, entered the US illegally under the Biden administration and was never deported, despite multiple arrests.
“Last night, in New York City, an incredible CBP Officer was shot in the face by an Illegal Alien Monster freed into the Country under Joe Biden. He was apprehended at the Border in April 2023 but, instead of being deported, was RELEASED,” the GOP president said on Truth Social.
“The CBP Officer bravely fought off his attacker, despite his wounds, demonstrating enormous Skill and Courage.
“The Democrats have flooded our Nation with Criminal Invaders, and now, they must all be thrown out or, in some cases, immediately prosecuted in that we cannot take a chance that they are able to come back. That’s how evil and dangerous they are!”
The federal agent, 42, and a female companion were sitting on a rock near the Hudson River in Fort Washington Park when they were ambushed by two men on a moped shortly before midnight, police sources said.
After a brief struggle, one of the suspects opened fire and struck the victim in the face and left forearm, leading the agent to pull his own gun and fire at the perps, hitting one of the suspects.
The agent is expected to live while the wounded alleged robber, Mora, is in custody after he walked into a Bronx hospital.
The other robber is still on the loose.
Mora came to the US via the southern border in April 2023 and was released due to a lack of space at a border detention facility. An immigration judge issued a removal order the same year, sources said.
He has had at least four arrests in the Big Apple before Saturday night’s incident, but was cut loose without bail each time, sources told The Post.
The Big Apple’s sanctuary laws also meant he was not served up to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, despite the deportation order.
Mora is also wanted for kidnapping and weapons charges in Massachusetts, sources said.
