President Donald Trump called former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a “disgusting degenerate” and alleged she and her husband got rich off “inside information” in a Saturday post on Truth Social.
“Crooked Nancy Pelosi, and her very ‘interesting’ husband, beat every Hedge Fund in 2024. In other words, these two very average ‘minds’ beat ALL of the Super Geniuses on Wall Street, thousands of them,” the president said. “It’s all INSIDE iNFORMATION! Is anybody looking into this??? She is a disgusting degenerate, who Impeached me twice, on NO GROUNDS, and LOST! How are you feeling now, Nancy???”
Pelosi and her husband, Paul Pelosi, have long faced criticism over their finances and business ventures. Quiver Quantitative estimates their net worth to be at least $263.23 million, however questions remains as to how much money the Pelosi’s actually have. Pelosi’s portfolio grew 70.9% between Dec. 29, 2023, and Dec. 30, 2024, compared to the S&P 500’s 24.9% return for the period, the Daily Caller previously reported. The former speaker’s 2024 investment results exceeded her 2023 performance, when she secured a return of 65.5% — outperforming that year’s S&P 500 return of 24.8% by approximately 164%. Pelosi opposed a ban on stock trades by members of Congress in 2021, arguing that “we’re a free‑market economy.” However, Pelosi changed tune by expressing support in a statement issued July 30 for a congressional stock trading ban advanced by Missouri Senator Josh Hawley soon after President Trump called for her to be investigated.
Trump told Daily Caller White House correspondent Reagan Reese he supports the HONEST Act “conceptually” and accused Pelosi of exploiting privileged information for financial gain.
