Hopefuls, can you believe we’re already near the end of Season 2 of When Hope Calls? With just one episode left before the season finale, no word yet from Great American Family if there will be a third season. We certainly hope we won’t have to wait another six years for the next season!

What happened in the previous episode of When Hope Calls?
In “The Truth Shall Set You Free,” the Lawrence Ranch went up for auction. With bids by Tess (Wendy Crewson) and her hodgepodge group of farmers as well as Jerry Huntsman (Jesse Hutch), an agent for a cattle company also looking to buy the land, the auction was tense and tight. Tess knew Jerry and his less-than-honest ways from previous dealings with him. Before the auction can end, Hannah (Sarah Fisher) decides she doesn’t want to sell the Ranch and calls off the auction.
Over on the other side of town, Nurse Maggie (Hanneke Talbot) tries her hand at baking and her Bakewell tarts elicit the most hilarious of reactions .
“It’s not baked well,” says Mountie Fletcher (Christopher Russell).
“That’s a crime against food,” says Joe Moody (Jefferson Brown).
“They’re soooo…unique,” says Sam, not wanting to disappoint Maggie.
We learn that the new orphan, Jenny (Lyla Elliott) isn’t Jenny, but Delores. Noy only that, she’s not 15, but 17 years old and has aged out of the orphanage system. As they can no longer legally care for her as an orphan, Nora (Cindy Busby) and Eleanor (Elizabeth Saunders) offer her room and board in exchange for her help with the children. Delores readily agrees.

What happens in this week’s episode of When Hope Calls?
In “Bringing to Light,” the Season 2 penultimate episode of When Hope Calls, Nora and Mountie Fletcher track down a dubious claim. Hannah and Wyatt (Nick Bateman) have a tough decision to make. Maggie tends to the orphans and trouble brews for the ranchers.
