Sales of Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs No. 87 jersey have skyrocketed after the news of his engagement to girlfriend Taylor Swift on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
According to TMZ Sports, Fanatics — the official e-commerce partner of both the NFL and the Chiefs — said that the star tight end’s jersey sales spiked 200% between Monday and Tuesday, the day the couple shared in a joint Instagram post that they’re getting married.
The three-time Super Bowl champion and 14-time Grammy winner’s engagement news led to Kelce’s best-selling day since Super Bowl LIX in February 2025, reported the outlet.

The proposal news isn’t the first time the influential power of the couple, both 35, led to a surge in Fanatics sales.
When Swift unforgettably came to a Chiefs game to support Kelce for the first time early in the 2023 NFL season, Fanatics saw an immediate sales increase in his jersey.

“Travis Kelce was one of the top 5 selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com,” a Fanatics spokesperson told PEOPLE on Sept. 25, one day after Swift was first seen cheering on Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium.
At the time, the “Shake It Off” singer appeared on national television during the game as she cheered from a private suite at Arrowhead Stadium. During the game, she was seen laughing with Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce — the first of many such moments that would come in the next two seasons (and counting).
Kelce and Swift sparked romance rumors in September 2023 and confirmed their relationship that October. They’ve supported each other at their respective concerts and games, spoke sweetly about each other in interviews and podcasts and stepped out together in the years that followed.

On Aug. 26, they shared the news of their engagement in a joint-Instagram post alongside several photos from their floral-filled garden proposal.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift wrote in the caption.
Kelce proposed with a ring he designed with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. The stone is an “old mine brilliant cut,” which the singer shows off in a series of photos announcing the big news.
Since the engagement news broke, the football player’s dad, Ed Kelce, has revealed several details about his son’s major day, including that the Chiefs star proposed to Swift at his home “two weeks” before the engagement was made public.
